Privacy Policy

Who we are

HyPace is a HYROX-style race training app (package com.darktech.hypace). This policy covers the Android and iOS apps and this site. HyPace is an independent training product and is not affiliated with HYROX GmbH.

What we collect

We collect data only to run your training account. We do not sell it.

• Account. Email, display name, and sign-in provider (Google or Apple) via Firebase Authentication. A user ID is created for your account.
• Athlete profile. Division, gender, goal time, race date, race city, experience, units, and notification preferences.
• Training data. Saved race sims, train sessions, in-progress workout, week plan, race-weekend checklist, station stats, and goals. Stored in Cloud Firestore under your user ID so they restore on another device.
• Approximate location (optional). If you pin a training place, we use a coarse location (city, or GPS while the app is in use) only to fetch outdoor training windows from Open-Meteo. We do not track you in the background.
• Push token. A device token may be stored so reminders can reach this phone if you opt in.
• Purchases. Subscriptions are processed by Google Play or the App Store. We read entitlement status from the store; we do not receive your full card number.
• Diagnostics. Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics record app opens, key training events, and crash logs so we can fix the product. These are not used to advertise to you.
• Remote Config. Feature flags such as free sim quota may be fetched from Firebase.

What we do not collect

• Date of birth or government ID.
• Heart rate, wearables, or official HYROX race timing.
• Public social feeds or athlete-to-athlete messaging.

Who processes data

• Google Firebase — Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Cloud Functions, Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging, Remote Config (Google LLC).
• Open-Meteo — weather for a coarse place you choose; we send location, not your name.
• Google Play / Apple — billing for HyPace Premium. Their privacy policies apply to payment.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share training data with advertisers.

Retention

Account and training data stay until you delete the account or ask us to delete it. Crash and analytics events follow Google Firebase retention defaults. Store purchase records remain with Google or Apple as required for billing.

Your choices

• Sign out on this device from Account.
• Turn off notifications in system settings and in the app.
• Clear a pinned training location so weather requests stop.
• Cancel Premium in Google Play or the App Store. Cancelling billing does not delete the HyPace account.
• Delete the account — see Delete your HyPace account.
• Email support@hypace.app for a copy of your data.

Children

HyPace is not directed at children under 13. Official HYROX racing requires athletes to be 16 or older on race day. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes in a material way, we will update this page and the date above.
